The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen toward Israel, and stated that sirens were activated in multiple areas as a precautionary measure.
The Houthi movement in Yemen claimed to have targeted Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv with two ballistic missiles.
In solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza, the Houthis continue to fire missiles at Israel, although they have agreed to cease attacks on American vessels.
In response, Israel has conducted airstrikes, including a notable one on May 6, which caused damage to the primary airport in Sana’a and resulted in several casualties.
