The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has announced the implementation of a fine of 50,000 dirhams for any UAE citizen arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia without a valid pilgrimage permit approved by the authority.
This decision aims to ensure a safe Hajj experience for all pilgrims from the UAE.
The authority emphasized that the performance of the Hajj pilgrimage for all citizens depends on the issuance of an official pilgrimage permit from them. This is in line with the Cabinet’s resolutions regarding the Hajj and Umrah system, which outlines all procedures for organizing the Hajj season in the country, ensuring opportunities are allocated transparently and clearly through electronic filtering programs.
The authority urges the entire UAE community to adhere to regulations and avoid wasting time and money on improper paths. Those acting outside these guidelines will be responsible for their actions. This measure is intended to reduce the occurrence of individuals reaching the holy sites without a permit, who then congest the designated areas for UAE pilgrims, disrupting the plans and arrangements of the UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office and limiting their ability to provide services that meet the expectations and ensure the complete satisfaction of the pilgrims.
