Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Contributes 172 Million Dirhams to the “Stop Life” Campaign

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as “Mother of the Nation”, and President of the General Women’s Union, has made a significant contribution by donating a building valued at 172 million dirhams in support of the “Life Endowment” campaign. She also directed that the building’s name be changed from “Dina Tower” to “Life Tower” to emphasize the humanitarian message of the campaign.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak stated that the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, takes pride in a unique set of values and principles which have successfully been established as a community culture embraced by individuals and institutions alike to work collaboratively for the greater good and empowerment of everyone, both within the nation and globally.

She highlighted that the Life Endowment campaign, aimed at supporting patients with chronic illnesses, is an exceptional initiative rooted in the values of giving, instilled by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. This campaign reflects a distinctive approach to sustainable charitable and humanitarian work, contributing to significant outcomes by increasing the number of beneficiaries, focusing on human development, ensuring that support flows continuously to essential sectors addressing the needs of the underprivileged.

Moreover, she emphasized that healthcare is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to all in need. The Life Endowment embodies this right through values of compassion and solidarity, stating: “Our support for this endowment is a continuation of the role of Emirati women in fostering a culture of giving and building a cohesive community that cares for the vulnerable as much as the strong. Be a part of this noble message.”

Her generosity exemplifies the highest form of human giving and reflects the deeply rooted ethos of kindness and cooperation within Emirati society, which serves as a model for solidarity and charitable action. Under the guidance of its leadership, the UAE continues to affirm its humanitarian approach aimed at preserving human dignity and enhancing principles of human brotherhood.

This generous initiative from Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak is intended to help the campaign achieve its noble goals of providing sustainable funding for the healthcare sector and empowering patients with chronic illnesses who cannot afford their treatment, instilling hope and positivity in their lives.

The campaign aims to support individuals unable to bear the high costs of treatment, offering necessary financial and psychological assistance. It is organized by the Abu Dhabi Waqf and Minor’s Funds Administration in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Health and the two charitable organizations: the UAE Red Crescent Authority and the Together Community Contributions Authority.

Sheikha Fatima’s contribution of an entire building valued at 172 million dirhams acts as a crucial incentive for the Emirati community to support this campaign, which has received widespread backing since its launch due to its noble objectives aimed at enhancing the sustainability of healthcare services and providing ongoing funding for the treatment of chronic illness patients among the most needy, thereby reinforcing the health system’s capacity to face future challenges.

The campaign aims to gather contributions for establishing an endowment exclusively dedicated to covering treatment costs for patients with chronic illnesses in need, as well as investing the endowment funds in developing health services, supplying medications, and providing psychological support for the patients.

The UAE is recognized as a pioneering nation implementing continuous strategies and programs to enhance the quality of life in all aspects, particularly in the healthcare sector.
