Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with Dr. Ghassan Salamé, the Lebanese Minister of Culture, and Dr. Paul Marques, the Lebanese Minister of Information, during the Arab Media Summit.
The discussion highlighted the strong ties between the UAE and Lebanon, emphasizing their shared commitment to enhancing collaboration in culture, arts, and heritage preservation. Both sides acknowledged the vital role of culture and media in achieving sustainable development goals and fostering cultural dialogue among nations.
Her Highness expressed her pleasure at the meeting, reaffirming the UAE and Dubai’s dedication to establishing robust partnerships with countries around the globe. She emphasized the significance of cultural dialogue in building strong connections between societies and the importance of supporting talent and empowering creatives, contributing to a sustainable future that celebrates diversity and preserves the region’s cultural heritage.
Also present at the meeting were Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, President of the Dubai Press Club, and Chair of the Organizational Committee for the Arab Media Summit, along with Dr. Maitha Buhumaid, Secretary-General of the Arab Media Award and Vice President of the Arab Media Summit Organizational Committee.
