The esteemed Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Derei, head of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, and head of the UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office, met with the Honorable Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, in Jeddah. The meeting was also attended by Ahmed Rashid Al-Neyadi, General Director of the Authority, Deputy Head of the Pilgrims Office, and several officials from both sides.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Derei praised the fruitful collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, commending the comprehensive system in place to serve the guests of Allah. He recognized the continuous efforts of Saudi institutions in overseeing pilgrim affairs and ensuring their comfort.
He emphasized that ongoing expansions in infrastructure, the adoption of the latest technologies, and the training of staff have enhanced the Kingdom’s stature and its significant efforts in serving pilgrims, facilitating their religious rites with ease and reassurance.
The discussion focused on ways to enhance coordination between both sides to provide an outstanding Hajj experience, which includes the development of logistical, health, and awareness services, aligning with the UAE’s vision for delivering smart and sustainable services.
Dr. Al-Derei also presented the new initiatives from the UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office for this season, as well as the digital registration platforms, which reflect the country’s commitment to ensuring the happiness and well-being of pilgrims in accordance with the highest standards.
This meeting illustrates the deep fraternal ties between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their mutual commitment to strengthen cooperation in serving pilgrims.
