Saudi Arabia Urges Pilgrims to Stay in Camps on Arafat Day Amid High Temperatures

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has issued guidelines for pilgrims, urging them to remain within their camps on the Day of Arafah from 10 AM to 4 PM and to refrain from heading to Mount Arafat or the Nimrah Mosque.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, this measure aims to protect pilgrims from direct sunlight and the high temperatures anticipated in the holy sites.

The ministry emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to the approved movement schedules set by the relevant authorities during all stages of transit between the holy sites. Furthermore, pilgrims are advised to use designated transportation options as outlined in the agreed transportation framework and to avoid walking between locations during the indicated times.

Pilgrims were also reminded of the necessity to keep their “Nusuk” identification card on hand at all times. This card must be presented upon request, and it is vital for ensuring support and assistance when needed, so losing it could present significant challenges.

The ministry called on representatives of service provider companies to ensure that their pilgrims comply with these instructions in order to guarantee their safety and facilitate the performance of their rituals.

These directives are part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance the readiness of services provided to pilgrims, ensuring they can complete their rites with comfort and tranquility.
