UAE’s Sharia Fatwa Authority Congratulates the President, Vice Presidents, and Rulers

His Excellency Abdullah bin Sheikh Al Mahfoudh bin Bayyah, Chairman of the UAE Fatwa Council, extended warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The council also conveyed its heartfelt wishes to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as to the rulers of the Emirates and members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and all other leaders, thanking God for enabling this momentous occasion. They prayed for blessings and prosperity for the UAE’s leadership, its citizens, and for Muslims and people around the world.

Al Mahfoudh bin Bayyah emphasized that the joy of Eid carries multiple dimensions. Eid al-Adha is a time for expressing gratitude for the devotion and good deeds accomplished during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, thanking God for the safety and security within the homeland. It is also a moment to pray for leaders who undertake noble tasks in service of the nation and humanity.

He highlighted the social aspect of the holiday, which serves as an opportunity to strengthen family bonds, connect with relatives and neighbors, check on those in need, and promote reconciliation among communities—reflecting the values of generosity and kindness.

His Excellency prayed for the safety and acceptance of the pilgrims’ rituals and their safe return to their families. He called on God to protect the blessed land and guide its wise leaders towards goodness, affirming that He is capable of all things.
