As of the end of the first quarter of this year, the total area of green spaces in the Emirate of Dubai, overseen by the Dubai Municipality, has reached 54,509,325 square meters, according to data from the Dubai Statistics Center released by the municipality.
The expansion of green areas in Dubai reflects a strategic vision aimed at creating a well-integrated city that balances urban development with environmental preservation, enhancing the quality of life and the emirate’s advanced global image. Increasing green spaces is a top priority of the “Dubai Urban Plan 2040,” which seeks to double the number of public parks and recreational areas, thereby improving the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
