Sultan Al Qasimi Celebrates Eid Al-Adha Prayer at Sharjah Mosque

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Sharjah Mosque this Friday morning, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

Joining them were prominent figures including Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler’s Office; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamid Al Qasimi, Head of the Statistics and Community Development Department; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs; Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Digital Department; and His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, along with other dignitaries and officials.

During the Eid sermon, delivered by Sheikh Dr. Salem Al Duby, the focus was on the significance of sincerity in faith and patriotism, which leads to purity of intention and clarity of action. He emphasized that the highest form of sincerity is towards God, which is fundamental to worship and is the key to acceptance, representing the covenant between a servant and their Lord. He also highlighted the importance of loyalty to the nation through dedicated service, upholding its reputation, adhering to its laws, and embracing its customs and traditions.

Sheikh Al Duby encouraged individuals to demonstrate their commitment to family and community by honoring parents, maintaining family ties, and showing kindness to spouses and children, as this contributes to a thriving society that functions cohesively. He stressed the necessity of compassion and visiting one another to foster affection, solidarity, and joy among family members, relatives, neighbors, and friends.

The sermon concluded with Sheikh Al Duby praying for the continued happiness of the United Arab Emirates, seeking peace and safety for its wise leadership, citizens, and residents. He also prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ rites and for their safe return, asking for their deeds to be accepted and their sins forgiven.
