Saudi Aramco Successfully Issues $5 Billion in Bonds

Saudi Aramco, officially known as the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, has successfully raised $5 billion through a bond issuance divided into three separate tranches as part of its Global Medium Term Note Program.

Bond Details

Aramco’s latest bond issuance includes the following tranches:

  • $1.5 billion in senior notes set to mature in 2030, featuring a coupon rate of 4.7%.
  • $1.25 billion in senior notes maturing in 2035 with a coupon rate of 5.3%.
  • $2.25 billion in senior notes with a maturity date in 2055, offering a coupon rate of 6.3%.

These bonds were priced on May 27, 2025, and have been listed for trading on the London Stock Exchange as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Investor Confidence

Ziad Al Murshed, Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO, emphasized the remarkable demand for this new bond issuance, highlighting the diverse interest from investors worldwide. He noted that the avoidance of any new issuance premium underscores Aramco’s strong long-term credit appeal. Al Murshed reiterated the company’s commitment to efficient capital management while pursuing its growth objectives.
