The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai revealed that a total of 629,559 travelers arrived and departed through all the emirate’s ports during the Eid Al Adha holiday from June 5 to 8, 2025, indicating the vibrancy of Dubai as a global hub for transit and residence.

Dubai International Airport accounted for the largest share of this movement, with 581,527 passengers recorded. Meanwhile, 46,863 passengers crossed through the Hatta land border crossing, and 1,169 passengers passed through the maritime ports during the same period.

Brigadier Talal Al Shanqeeti, Assistant Director-General for Airport Affairs, emphasized that the numbers recorded during the holiday reflect Dubai’s continued status as a preferred destination for travelers from around the world, thanks to the integration of field efforts at the ports and the activation of smart systems.

He stated, “We are keen to ensure a seamless travel experience through smart lanes and artificial intelligence technologies, which have contributed to speeding up procedures and improving traffic flow.” He added that the travel experience has become part of their commitment to enhancing quality of life in line with Dubai government’s direction of providing flexible services that meet individuals’ expectations and enhance the readiness of its institutions.

The results reflect the ability of “Visit Dubai” to manage exceptional travel seasons efficiently through collaboration and integrated coordination with strategic partners in the aviation and border sectors within a flexible work environment that keeps up with innovation and continuous development.

This institutional readiness is a model that embodies Dubai’s approach to enhancing its competitiveness on quality of life and international mobility indicators by providing a fast, smart, and secure travel experience that prioritizes human well-being.
