His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, met yesterday with Muhammad Sharif Shehbaz, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, during his working visit to the UAE.
At the beginning of their meeting held at the Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, praying for blessings and prosperity for both nations and their peoples, as well as for peace and stability for the entire Islamic world.
The discussions between His Highness and the Pakistani Prime Minister also focused on avenues for mutual cooperation, particularly in economic, investment, and developmental fields. They emphasized their commitment to enhancing constructive collaboration between their countries and expanding its scope to promote mutual growth and advancement, ultimately serving the interests and developmental visions of their peoples.
The two leaders also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, sharing their perspectives while reaffirming the importance of supporting international efforts to maintain stability and to strengthen regional and global peace.
The Pakistani Prime Minister praised the efforts of His Highness the President in maintaining regional and global peace and security, commending the pivotal role of Emirati diplomacy in fostering dialogue and finding common ground for diplomatic solutions in addressing conflicts and crises both regionally and globally. He also expressed appreciation for the continuous support that the UAE provides to Pakistan and its quality developmental initiatives.
Present at the meeting were His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Presidential Affairs Chief, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President, His Excellency Ali bin Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Head of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Executive Office of Abu Dhabi, along with the accompanying delegation of the Pakistani Prime Minister, which included several ministers and senior officials.
Earlier that day, the Prime Minister of Pakistan arrived in Abu Dhabi, where he was welcomed at Al Bateen Airport by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, along with several high-ranking officials.
