Flights at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) have experienced cancellations and delays due to airspace restrictions over Iran, Iraq, and Syria.

In an official statement on their X account, DXB indicated they are actively working to manage the situation and assist those affected.
Flight Diversions Noted as Escalation in Regional Tensions Continues
Travelers are encouraged to verify their flight status and rebooking options with their airlines before heading to the airport, and to arrive earlier than usual. DXB also mentioned that their teams are present at the terminals to offer assistance and expressed gratitude to passengers for their understanding and patience.
Sharjah Airport has similarly advised passengers to keep an eye on their flight statuses, as several disruptions have also occurred there due to the ongoing airspace closures.

Data from Flightradar24 revealed that airlines have chosen to avoid the airspace over Israel, Iran, Iraq, and Jordan following Israel’s military strikes in Iran. Airlines have either diverted or cancelled flights to guarantee the safety of passengers and crew members.
Israel confirmed on Friday that the targets of their strikes included Iran’s nuclear facilities, missile production sites, and military personnel, marking the beginning of what they described as a prolonged strategy to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities.
Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport has been closed indefinitely, with Israel’s air defense forces remaining prepared for possible retaliatory actions from Iran.
The Israeli national airline, El Al, declared the suspension of flights to and from Israel and mentioned that some aircraft have been relocated outside the country. Israir Airlines also stated that they are evacuating planes from Tel Aviv and expect the airport to remain shut down through the weekend.
A number of international airlines had already halted operations in and out of Tel Aviv following a missile incident involving Yemen’s Houthi rebels on May 4.
