Man Aids in Saving Life of a Forty-Year-Old Who Suffered a Heart Attack

A catastrophic moment turned into a heroic rescue story involving a man named Roberto Alexander, who played a crucial role in saving the life of a middle-aged individual who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in Dubai. He swiftly acted by administering CPR until the ambulance arrived.

During a recognition event at the Dubai Ambulance Services headquarters, Mishaal Abdul Karim Jalfar, the Executive Director of the Dubai Ambulance Foundation, thanked Roberto for his prompt response and effective handling of the situation, which significantly contributed to preserving the patient’s life.

He emphasized that the safety of community members is a collective responsibility that requires efforts to promote health awareness, as this is a vital skill that can save lives in critical and urgent situations.

Speaking about the incident, Jalfar explained, “The story began when our operations room received a report of a French man in his forties experiencing a cardiac arrest. An initial assessment from the medical dispatcher revealed that the patient had no pulse or breathing. A relative was instructed to start CPR until the emergency team arrived. Upon the timely arrival of the ambulance, cardiac resuscitation was continued, and the patient was treated using a defibrillator and advanced medications as necessary. The advanced treatment continued under the supervision of paramedic Amina Al-Shamsi until the patient regained a pulse. Meanwhile, the patient’s condition was stabilized and prepared for transfer to Medclinic Park Hospital due to its proximity to the incident site.”
