A fire that ignited late Friday in a 67-storey residential building located in Dubai’s Marina area has been successfully contained, as reported by the Dubai Media Office (DMO) on Saturday.
Firefighting teams from the Dubai Civil Defence spent six hours tackling the blaze and successfully evacuated all 3,820 occupants from the building’s 764 apartments with no injuries reported, according to DMO.
Officials confirmed that all residents were safely removed from the premises and assured that the situation had been stabilized.

Images circulated by the Dubai Media Office on social media depicted smoke continuing to emerge from the tower even hours after firefighting efforts were accomplished.
Officials stated on social media: “Control measures remain in place and the situation is fully managed by the firefighting teams.”
Authorities are collaborating with the building’s developer to arrange temporary accommodations for those displaced. The focus remains on the safety and wellbeing of affected individuals.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
