Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, announced certain modifications within the UAE government following discussions with his brother, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
In a post shared on the platform X, he stated: “Dear brothers and sisters, after consulting with my brother, the President of the UAE, and with his approval, we are announcing today the following changes in the UAE government: the establishment of a Ministry of Foreign Trade, appointing Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi as its minister, and rebranding the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, led by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.”
Furthermore, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid announced that a National Artificial Intelligence System will be adopted as an advisory member to the Cabinet and the Ministerial Development Council, along with all boards of directors of federal agencies and government companies starting from January 2026. This initiative aims to support decision-making in these councils by providing real-time analyses and technical advice, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of government policies across various sectors.
In conclusion, he stated: “The world is undergoing a comprehensive transformation in scientific, economic, and social aspects. Our goal is to prepare from today for the coming decades, ensuring ongoing prosperity and a dignified life for future generations.”
