Registration Opens for the “Cyber Leaders” Program Aimed at Developing the Digital Generation

The Dubai Cyber Security Centre has announced the opening of registrations for its new summer program, “Cyber Leaders,” aimed at students aged 13 to 18. The program will commence on June 30 and run until July 10 at Dubai University, providing an interactive learning environment designed to develop digital skills and raise awareness about cyber challenges among the youth.

This initiative is organized in collaboration with the Dubai Cyber Innovation Centre, Dubai University, and the companies EMT and Tech Firm. It is part of the centre’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a strong cyber security culture and equip young individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to safeguard the online space, contributing to the establishment of a secure and sustainable digital community.

Yousef Al Shaibani, the director-general of the Dubai Cyber Security Centre, emphasized that the program’s launch aligns with the centre’s vision to prepare a digitally aware and qualified generation that can lead cyber protection efforts in the future. He noted that empowering the younger generation with digital knowledge is a fundamental pillar in enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness in the digital realm and advancing towards a safe and sustainable environment driven by advanced technology and cyber awareness.

The program will feature a series of lectures and interactive workshops that integrate theoretical and practical aspects, covering essential topics in cyber security such as creating strong passwords and digital safety practices. It will also include interactive competitions that promote critical thinking and innovation.

Additionally, the curriculum will address advanced topics like home network protection and responses to cyber threats, alongside analytical activities for designing secure digital innovations. Engaging and educational entertainment activities will be included to reinforce security concepts in a stimulating and innovative manner.
