In March 2025, Abu Dhabi’s hospitality industry generated revenues amounting to Dhs611 million ($166.3 million), showcasing a robust trajectory in the emirate’s tourism sector. This information stems from initial data published by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) in partnership with the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

The total revenue included Dhs345 million from accommodation bookings, Dhs228 million from food and beverage services, and Dhs38 million from miscellaneous sources.

Approximately 417,000 hotel guests visited the emirate during March, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s increasing attraction as a preferred global travel destination. Authorities credit this rise to the emirate’s varied lodging options and exceptional hospitality standards.

Abu Dhabi welcomed guests at 171 hotels

Visitors were accommodated in 171 hotels with a total of 34,341 rooms. These establishments recorded over 1.2 million guest nights, achieving an average occupancy rate of 69%. The revenue per available room (RevPAR) stood at Dhs486.

The largest segment of international arrivals consisted of non-Arab Asian tourists, numbering 152,000. They were followed by 123,000 European visitors, while UAE nationals contributed 58,000 hotel stays.

Five-star hotels attracted the highest number of guests, hosting 205,000 visitors in March. Of this figure, European travelers represented the most significant portion, with 78,000. Four-star establishments welcomed 119,000 guests, with 54,000 in three-star and lower-rated hotels, while serviced apartments recorded 38,000 guests.

This robust performance aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which envisions attracting 39.3 million annual visitors, creating 178,000 jobs in tourism, expanding hotel capacity to 50,000 rooms, and boosting the sector’s contribution to GDP to Dhs90 billion by the decade’s end.
