Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has revealed modifications to service hours for its operations in celebration of the upcoming Hijri New Year holiday (1447H).
The updated schedule affects Customer Happiness Centres, paid parking areas, public bus services, the Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport options, and vehicle technical inspection facilities.
All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on the day of the Hijri New Year holiday. Nevertheless, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the headquarters will continue operating around the clock.
Complimentary Parking on Friday, June 27
All public parking zones throughout Dubai will be free on Friday, June 27, in recognition of the Hijri New Year holiday.
This exception does not apply to multi-level parking facilities. Normal parking charges will resume on Saturday, June 28.
The service provider centres that handle vehicle technical testing will also be closed on Friday, June 27. Technical testing services will recommence on Saturday, June 28.
Dubai Metro Operating Hours
The Dubai Metro will function from 5 am to 1 am the following day on Friday, June 27. Likewise, the Dubai Tram will operate from 6 am to 1 am the next day on the same day.
For specific schedule adjustments for public buses (Dubai Bus) during the holiday, passengers are encouraged to consult the S’hail app.
The marine transport schedule for the holiday can also be accessed through the RTA’s official platforms.
