Emirates Airlines has recommenced its standard flight services after only experiencing minor interruptions on June 23 due to temporary airspace closures in the region.
The carrier based in Dubai confirmed that its scheduled flights returned to normal within hours, with no significant diversions, a limited number of cancellations, and some rerouted paths necessitated by airspace congestion.
In a communique released on its website on June 24, Emirates stated that it had “promptly activated its effective contingency and disruption strategies,” which allowed for continued connectivity for passengers globally.
The airline added, “Emirates’ travelers faced minimal interruptions to their itineraries following last night’s regional occurrences. Despite the swiftly changing circumstances, functions have continued as usual across the Emirates network.”
Over the last fortnight, Emirates has carried over 1.7 million passengers across more than 5,800 flights.

The airline managed to maintain its scheduled services by rerouting around areas deemed ‘crisis’ zones, including a short pause in operations to Amman and Beirut, which quickly resumed afterward.
Emirates underlined its ongoing collaboration with aviation regulators and local agencies to safeguard the safety of both passengers and crew members.
“The safety of Emirates’ passengers and crew is the utmost priority, and the airline would not operate if safety could not be assured,” the statement emphasized.

In parallel, flydubai confirmed that flights on June 24 resumed as planned. The airline noted, however, that some delays might still occur due to congestion in airspace.
To avoid restricted airspace, the airline has rerouted certain flights throughout its network.
It added that it is closely monitoring the situation, with passenger and crew safety remaining its top priority.
Flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and St. Petersburg are currently suspended until June 30.
Operations in the region are gradually returning to normal following a ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Iran, mediated by US President Donald Trump after 12 days of conflict, effective from Tuesday.
