President Donald Trump has expressed optimism about the imminent arrival of global peace through a message on the platform Truth Social, stating, “Congratulations to the world, the time for peace has come.”
He highlighted his hope for Israel and Iran to take steps towards reconciliation, mentioning that the Iranian attack was “very weak” and that U.S. forces effectively countered it.
According to Trump, during the assault, 14 missiles were launched, with 13 being intercepted. Only one missile was allowed to pass as it was headed towards a “safe location.” He emphasized that the incident resulted in no significant injuries or damage to American forces.
Trump stated, “I am pleased to report that all Americans are fine, and no one has been harmed. Ultimately, Iran has given up everything,” expressing his hope that this event marks the beginning of “the end of hatred” in the region.
He also extended his gratitude to Iran for their “early notice” of the attack, which he claimed helped avoid casualties. He suggested that Iran might now move towards peace and harmony, and he would encourage Israel to adopt a similar approach toward “regional peace and harmony.”
Reports from CNBC indicated that President Trump was in the operations room with the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the Iranian attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar commenced.
In a separate remark, Trump expressed his desire for low oil prices amid concerns that rising tensions in the Middle East could lead to sudden increases. He wrote in capital letters on Truth Social: “I tell everyone… Keep oil prices low, I am watching! You benefit the enemy, don’t do it.”
