Nahyan Bin Mubarak: The National Fund Aims to Highlight Ancestral Heritage

The Honorable Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the National Fund, has announced the launch of a series of educational lectures and seminars scheduled throughout 2025 in celebration of Community Year. These events will take place in cultural and youth centers across the nation under the theme “Our Values… Our Heritage… Our Identity,” with the aim of cementing national identity as a daily way of life for all segments of the Emirati community, reflecting loyalty and devotion to the country and its wise leadership.

Sheikh Nahyan emphasized that these lectures are part of the National Fund’s commitment to enhancing community cohesion, showcasing the legacy of previous generations, and preserving the core values that define the Emirati character. He pointed out that Community Year presents a perfect opportunity to renew the pledge of loyalty to the nation, take pride in its values, and instill them in the hearts of the new generations of Emiratis, consistent with the visionary direction of the leadership.

He stated: “The series of lectures organized by the National Fund, in collaboration with various agencies, ministries, and local institutions at cultural and youth centers nationwide, will feature contributions from a select group of esteemed Emirati academics, experts, and thinkers. They will provide scientific and cultural insights on the concepts of national identity, the significance of our cultural heritage, and the community’s role in preserving our national achievements.”

He added, “In the UAE, under the wise leadership, we are confidently moving toward the future, drawing on a rich heritage and genuine values. We take pride in our history and work collectively to build a present characterized by our principles of tolerance and hard work, and we are proud that our national identity serves as a robust fortress against challenges and a means for achieving accomplishments. This country has established respect for others and pride in identity as foundational elements of its development.”

Yasser Al Quraishi, Director General of the National Fund, stated that these lectures will be held weekly at cultural and youth centers throughout the country according to a predetermined schedule that details the locations, timings, and topics, all of which will be accessible on the fund’s official website.

He explained that the sessions will take place every Tuesday starting today and will be open to the public of all age groups.
