His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the Abu Dhabi ruler in the Al Dhafra region, welcomed Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Dhuhuri, the Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, along with his accompanying delegation at the Al Seef Palace in Abu Dhabi.
This meeting was held as part of the leadership’s commitment to monitor achievements and strategies that contribute to the enhancement of community services.
During the meeting, His Excellency was briefed on the key projects of the authority and its strategy for mosque management and service development, in addition to its initiatives aimed at spreading Islamic culture, enhancing community awareness, and promoting values of tolerance and coexistence.
His Excellency praised the significant support the authority receives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and emphasized his commitment to empower the authority in fulfilling its religious and national mission, as well as furthering its efforts in community service and promoting the noble humanitarian values upheld by the United Arab Emirates.
The discussion also highlighted the authority’s initiatives in managing endowment affairs, developing Quran memorization centers, and serving the Quran, in addition to its activities in the Al Dhafra region and its contributions to national, community, and cultural events. Present at the meeting were Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi ruler’s court in the Al Dhafra region, and Ahmed Rashid Al Neyadi, the Director General of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, along with several officials.
On another note, His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his condolences to Salem Hamad Al Mansouri on the passing of his daughter, may she rest in peace, during a visit to the family home in Al Dhannah in the Al Dhafra region.
He expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family, praying to the Almighty to grant her eternal peace and to provide her family with patience and solace. Accompanying him in offering condolences were Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri and several other officials.
