Today, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, administered the oath of office to Sharif Issa Mohammed Al Suwaidi, the newly appointed Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil. During the ceremony, he also received the credentials of several new ambassadors appointed to the UAE, with the presence of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE and Deputy Prime Minister.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his best wishes to the Ambassador to Brazil, hoping for success in his role to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two nations. This support aligns with the UAE’s commitment to establishing connections and cooperation with countries around the world, founded on mutual respect and shared interests.
During the event held at the Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the new ambassadors, wishing them success in their duties to enhance cooperation between the UAE and their respective countries. He emphasized that they would receive comprehensive support from relevant authorities in the UAE to facilitate their missions and ensure their effectiveness in their roles.
The credentials were presented by Sheikh Mohammed to the following ambassadors: Igor Bely, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus; Felipe Rivadeneira Molestina, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador; Pavol Panis, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic; Arusha Vinodini Kurai, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; Rawan Jumabek, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Francisco Jose Herrera Alvarado, non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Honduras.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Personal Affairs; and several other officials, including Minister of State Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar, and Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority Khairan Khalifa Al Mubarak.
