The ENOC Group’s board of directors, a state-owned energy entity in Dubai, has announced the appointment of Hussain Sultan Ahmed Lootah as interim CEO, as reported in a recent announcement.

Lootah takes over from Saif Humaid Al Falasi, who had been the group CEO for the last decade, leading ENOC’s growth and strategic initiatives during his tenure.

“This appointment reflects the group’s dedication to advancing the future of energy and supporting Dubai’s ambitious economic diversification and sustainability objectives,” stated ENOC.

Lootah brings extensive experience to ENOC

With over 30 years of expertise in the oil and gas industry, Lootah has held significant positions in finance, commercial strategy, project management, and workforce development. His previous contributions include promoting Emiratisation and enhancing the development of local talent.

“ENOC Group is essential in cultivating a more sustainable energy framework for the UAE and beyond,” Lootah remarked. “It’s a privilege to assume this new position, and I eagerly anticipate collaborating with ENOC’s skilled workforce and leadership to further its legacy of innovation and excellence.”

ENOC, formally recognized as the Emirates National Oil Company, operates across the entire energy value chain, which includes refining, storage, distribution, and retail, and is integral to Dubai’s energy infrastructure and development plans.
