Dubai Courts’ Leadership Council Explores Ways to Enhance Innovation and Institutional Performance

The Leadership Council for Development and Institutional Innovation in Dubai Courts convened for its regular meeting under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts. The meeting was attended by several judges, including Judge Abdul Qadir Mousa, President of the Court of Cassation, Judge Omar Miran, Deputy Director of Dubai Courts, Judge Eissa Al Sharif, President of the Court of Appeal, and Judge Mohammed Jassim Al Shamsi, President of the Probate Court.

Other attendees included Judge Khalid Al Hosani, President of the Primary Courts, Abdul Rahim Ahli, Executive Director of the Institutional Support and Communication Sector, Mohammed Al Obaidli, Executive Director of the Case Management Sector, and Ibrahim Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Settlement and Execution Sector, along with department directors.

The meeting included discussions on various topics and explored a series of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing innovation and improving institutional performance. These efforts align with Dubai’s vision of establishing itself as a leading destination for advanced judicial services, in line with the emirate’s commitment to sustainable development and global leadership. The meeting also saw the approval of updates to facilitate access to judicial services and improve their efficiency.

The council emphasized the importance of instilling excellence as a cultural norm within the judicial system, recognizing its role in streamlining legal processes, enhancing operational quality, improving the work environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The council praised effective community initiatives launched by the courts.

Notable among these initiatives is the “Courts of Goodness” program, which reflects the courts’ commitment to providing judicial support to those in need. Another initiative is the “Facilitating Services for Deceased Affairs,” designed to simplify procedures and provide necessary support to the families of the deceased.

During the meeting, members reviewed the final preparations for launching the Judicial Operations and Control Room, aimed at improving case management efficiency and ensuring timely resolution, which positively impacts client experience and strengthens the judicial system’s effectiveness.

Professor Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi approved the updated path for the “Courts of Goodness” service, endorsing new enhancements intended to boost service efficiency and expand its reach in line with Dubai Courts’ commitment to social responsibility and providing sustainable, high-quality services.

The meeting also addressed the “Facilitating Services for Deceased Affairs” project, where the council was informed about the courts’ contributions to the second phase of this national initiative, which aims to support families of the deceased and simplify related procedures.

Additionally, members examined initial results from the “Designated Expert” model, discussing progress in this area, which helps enhance case management efficiency. This is part of the courts’ efforts to expedite case resolution and improve the quality of technical reports while adopting innovative solutions that promote rapid justice.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue striving towards achieving strategic goals, adopting best global practices, and developing judicial services to meet future changes and community expectations.
