The Emirates Drug Foundation has announced the approval of “Rilzabrutinib,” the first oral inhibitor of the enzyme proton tyrosine kinase for treating immune thrombocytopenia, a rare autoimmune disorder that affects between 2 to 5 individuals per 100,000 globally.
