Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi’s Remarks on Union Anniversary

His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, expressed that July 18 each year, “Union Day,” marks a significant moment in the history of the United Arab Emirates. It is a day when we reflect with gratitude on the meeting convened by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow rulers, which heralded the birth of our blessed federation and the signing of our cherished national constitution.

The Ruler emphasized that “Union Day” is more than just a commemoration; it symbolizes a pivotal era where our founding leaders established the greatest bonds of unity, instilling values of loyalty and belonging in their successors. This laid the groundwork for the UAE to embark on a path of cultural advancement and growth, guided by wise leadership that embraced wisdom and ambition, transforming our nation into an exemplary model of development and global standing.

In his address celebrating “Union Day,” His Highness stated, “On this glorious national day, we proudly honor this occasion and celebrate the principles of unity established by our founding fathers.”

Sheikh Hamid further noted, “As we commemorate this precious event, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and sincere feelings of love and pride to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and to his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, along with their Highnesses the rulers of the Emirates, and to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court. Additionally, we express our warmest wishes to the honorable people of the UAE, praying that the Almighty continues to bless us with stability, security, and prosperity on this momentous day.”

Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi concluded his remarks by reaffirming the commitment to loyalty to the federation, emphasizing the need to diligently protect the nation’s achievements, promote unity, and embed noble values in development, generosity, and societal cohesion.

He ended with a prayer for the UAE, asking the Almighty to maintain its security, pride, and stability, and to guide its leadership towards the betterment of the nation and the well-being of its people.
