A chocolate product inspired by the trending ‘Dubai chocolate’ phenomenon has been recalled in the UK due to significant health risks for individuals with peanut allergies.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a warning regarding the Noesis Schokolade Love of Dubai, a 95g chocolate bar made by NOESIS SCHOKOLADE, Gida ve Unlu Mam Ltd, and distributed in the UK by Black Sea Trading Ltd. Tests revealed that it contains undeclared peanuts, which are not listed as an ingredient on the packaging.

“We are alerting consumers and food establishments that have purchased the Noesis Schokolade Love of Dubai chocolate that it contains peanut, which is not indicated on the label. This presents a potential health hazard for those with peanut allergies,” stated the FSA.

The recall is effective for all batch numbers and all best-before dates associated with this product.

The FSA has instructed food businesses to “halt all sales immediately, perform product withdrawals, and where necessary, execute product recalls.” The supplier, Black Sea Trading Ltd, has not been reachable, intensifying the urgency of the recall.

“This is due to the product posing a serious risk for anyone allergic to peanuts,” the agency emphasized.

Regulatory authorities are currently collaborating with the FSA to investigate the supply chain and guarantee that all impacted products are taken off the shelves. Allergy advocacy groups have also been notified.

The FSA recommends consumers: “Do not purchase this product, and if you have already bought it, refrain from consuming it, particularly if you have a peanut allergy. Dispose of the product safely at home and contact your local Trading Standards in Great Britain or Environmental Health Officers in Northern Ireland to report your purchase.”
