The Head of State: The UAE’s Approach is Strongly Focused on Building Bridges of Cooperation with Countries Worldwide and Continuing to Forge Fruitful Developmental Partnerships

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán discussed yesterday the bilateral relations and ways to enhance them across various sectors aimed at benefiting the development of both nations. This includes fields such as economic, trade, investment, technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy, among others, during His Highness’s official visit to Hungary.

During the meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s office, His Highness emphasized the UAE’s commitment to strengthening collaboration and joint efforts with Hungary, which would support sustainable development goals for both nations and promote further growth and progress for their populations.

His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s consistent approach to fostering ties with countries worldwide and continuing to establish fruitful developmental partnerships based on cooperation and mutual interests.

Progress

In response, the Hungarian Prime Minister welcomed the President’s visit, highlighting that it provides a significant boost to the relationship between the two countries, which is continuously evolving across various fields of mutual interest.

His Highness and the Prime Minister also reviewed several regional and international issues that are of shared concern and exchanged perspectives on these topics.

They acknowledged the importance of supporting international efforts to promote stability and peace at both regional and global levels, emphasizing the need to manage crises and conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic solutions.

The Hungarian Prime Minister hosted a dinner in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation, attended by several senior officials from Hungary.

Additionally, His Highness visited the historic Hungarian Parliament building yesterday, accompanied by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and members of his delegation.

During this visit, His Highness learned about the architectural features of the building, a significant historical, cultural, and tourist landmark, and received detailed explanations from officials regarding its sections and major contents.

Agreements

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also witnessed the exchange of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the UAE and Hungary aimed at enhancing cooperation prospects in various developmental sectors.

The exchanged agreements and memoranda focused on cooperation in data centers, artificial intelligence projects, green and renewable energy, food and agriculture, youth and family issues, experience sharing in government work development, energy storage system projects, and other sectors of mutual interest.

The memorandums were exchanged during the ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s office in Hungary’s capital, Budapest, by UAE officials including Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; and other ministers responsible for these sectors.

Also present were Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chief Executive Officer of the Executive Affairs Authority; and Mohamed Ali Al Abbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, along with their Hungarian counterparts responsible for the relevant sectors.

Visit

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived yesterday in Budapest for an official visit to Hungary.

Military aircraft accompanied His Highness’s plane upon entering Hungarian airspace as a mark of welcome.

The accompanying delegation included notable figures such as Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President.

Other delegation members comprised Ali bin Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; and various other officials from different ministries and sectors.

Furthermore, the delegation included Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; Senan bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family; Mariam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State; and a number of other significant officials.

Members of the delegation also included Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Head of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, CEO of the Executive Affairs Authority; and various senior diplomats.
