Saqr Gobash: A Strong Commitment to Continue the Blessed Federal Journey

His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, the Chairman of the Federal National Council, stated that the “Day of the Union Covenant,” celebrated annually on July 18, is a significant national milestone. It serves as a moment to reflect on the vision and efforts of the founding fathers, especially the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow Emirati leaders, who signed the “Union Document” and established the United Arab Emirates.

He remarked that the “Day of the Union Covenant” symbolizes the highest ideals of national unity and the deep connection between the wise leadership and the people of the UAE, demonstrating a firm commitment to continue the blessed federal journey towards a future of greater prosperity and advancement under the guidance of wise leadership.

Furthermore, he mentioned, “The UAE’s celebration of the ‘Day of the Union Covenant’ is a moment of loyalty and pride in the remarkable achievements of the founders, which laid the groundwork for a strong and resilient nation, resulting in the security, prosperity, and stability we enjoy today, thanks to their visionary leadership.”

He highlighted that this national occasion occurs at a time when the UAE is advancing its developmental journey, achieving significant milestones across various sectors as part of its ambitious strategic vision to become one of the best countries in the world in multiple fields, grounded in investing in its citizens, empowering them, and enhancing their security and well-being.

On this occasion, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. He also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, and the members of the Supreme Council of the Rulers of the UAE, praising the nation’s remarkable accomplishments that have solidified its leading position regionally and internationally.
