Expanding horizons: Maksym Krippa drives growth in real estate and esports

Maksym Krippa, a prominent Ukrainian entrepreneur, has significantly expanded his investment portfolio by acquiring a stake in the developer DIM. In addition to this new venture, Krippa has made notable moves in real estate, including purchasing the Ukraina Hotel, the Parus Business Center, and a mansion near Kyiv. Krippa has invested over $100 million in Ukraine's economy and, in the past, Ukraine alone.

Krippa’s vestment strategy spans several high-profile sectors, including real estate, esports, and IT (game development). He also plays a key leadership role in the Ukrainian Esports Federation, where he actively participates in philanthropic activities.

Maksym Krippa’sal estate investments in Kyiv and beyond:

  • Ukraina Hotel – acquired in 2024;
  • Parus Business Center – acquired on December 1, 2023;
  • Mansion in Kozyn – acquired in January 2023.

The mansion in Kozyn, located in the Kyiv region, was purchased for 311.11 million UAH, 60% above the initial auction price. Maksym Krippa plans to transform this property into a corporate training center for NAVI, inspired by FC Dynamo Kyiv’s training base. Furthermore, he intends to build a SHA Wellness Clinic on the grounds.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) approved the acquisition of the Parus Business Center, a 75,000-square-meter complex and one of Kyiv’s tallest skyscrapers, standing at 133.1 meters. While the transaction amount has not been disclosed, this deal has added significant value to Krippa’s real estate portfolio.

On November 29, 2024, Krippa finalized his acquisition of the Ukraina Hotel in the heart of Kyiv for 3 billion UAH, including VAT. The deal was completed after a competitive auction, with Krippa’s placing the highest bid.

Krippa’s in Ukrainian Esports and Game Development: In 2018, Krippa became an investor in Maincast, a rising force in the Ukrainian esports broadcasting industry. He gradually increased his stake in the company, cementing his influence in the sector. The same year, he also showed interest in the esports team NAVI, initially becoming a sponsor before officially taking ownership in 2022.

In September 2023, Krippa completely controlled GSC Game World, the developer behind the renowned S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Thanks to Krippa’s investment, the company released the long-awaited sequel on November 20, 2024, after years of financial struggles.

Looking ahead, Krippa has reaffirmed that his focus will remain on further investments in IT, esports, and game development, where he sees continued growth potential.

The Journey to Wealth: In an interview with Forbes, Krippa shared insights into his path to financial success. Early in his career, he partnered with Kyivstar, which allowed him to build the capital needed for future investments. By 2007, he had ventured into retail and real estate in Kyiv.

In 2016, Krippa relocated to the UAE, seizing the opportunity to invest in a stagnating real estate market. Property prices were significantly lower, with some properties available at a fraction of today’s price.

As of 2025, Krippa’s real estate portfolio in the UAE will include more than 100,000 square meters of office, residential, and development properties. Additionally, he owns land plots near Dubai Mall, positioning him strategically in one of the world’s fastest-growing real estate markets.
