CrowdStrike Holdings has introduced Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security, a comprehensive solution aimed at safeguarding human, machine, and AI agent identities within hybrid IT infrastructures. This launch comes in response to the growing trend of cybercriminals targeting digital identities to infiltrate organizations.
This latest product, which is part of the AI-driven Falcon platform, combines several key features: protections against initial access, privileged access management (PAM), identity threat detection and response (ITDR), SaaS identity security, and safeguards for agentic identities.
CrowdStrike asserts that this solution eliminates security gaps resulting from disjointed tools and provides immediate protective measures without the usual integration hurdles.
“Organizations require reliable identity security right now, not years or months down the line,” commented Mike Sentonas, President of CrowdStrike. “Access within today’s enterprises is both dynamic and unpredictable, with identities encompassing users, machines, and AI agents functioning across hybrid environments in real time.”
Identity has emerged as the primary vector through which attackers infiltrate businesses, taking advantage of service accounts, SaaS credentials, and AI agents with extensive system access.
CrowdStrike highlighted that identities of non-human agents represent “superhuman identities” that significantly increase the attack surface, allowing continued access to sensitive information and processes.
CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security: Key Features
Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security delivers real-time visibility and automated responses across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS setups.
The system enforces just-in-time access permissions, identifies lateral movements, and prevents privilege escalations.
This initiative is driven by agentic AI, which facilitates real-time threat evaluation and autonomously responds to incidents.
The announcement occurs as businesses increasingly grapple with a rise in identity-based breaches that evade traditional identity and access management (IAM) and outdated PAM systems, often falling short in addressing cross-domain threats across endpoints, cloud, and SaaS.
CrowdStrike stated that the solution is provided via a single lightweight sensor and can be managed from a centralized console, offering security teams quicker deployment, streamlined operations, and immediate benefits.
Founded in 2011, CrowdStrike is renowned for its cloud-native Falcon platform, which protects endpoints, cloud workloads, identities, and data.
