Etihad Airways announced that it transported 16.1 million passengers during the first nine months of 2025, marking an 18% rise compared to the same timeframe last year, driven by robust demand across its expanding global footprint.
In September alone, the airline saw a passenger count of 1.9 million, which represents a 21% increase from September 2024.
The average passenger load factor for the month reached 89%, an improvement of one percentage point from the previous year, highlighting the effective utilization of its increased capacity.
Etihad’s operational fleet numbers 115 aircraft
As of the end of September, Etihad’s active fleet comprised 115 aircraft, servicing 82 passenger destinations across the globe.
Antonoaldo Neves, the CEO of Etihad Airways, remarked, “September was another exceptional month for us, with demand remaining robust as we transitioned into the post-summer period. We are witnessing year-on-year growth across all significant metrics, which underscores both the strength of our network and Abu Dhabi’s rising status as a global hub.
“We are expanding strategically, maintaining high load factors and ensuring operational reliability. These results reflect clear progress and targeted execution, which is exactly what we aimed to achieve in 2025,” he concluded.
