EVIQ and Apsco to Broaden Electric Vehicle Charging Network Throughout Saudi Arabia

The electric vehicle infrastructure firm EVIQ has reached a significant agreement with Apsco, a national energy supplier, to establish fast charging stations for electric vehicles throughout Saudi Arabia. This initiative is designed to enhance the country’s electric mobility framework.

This collaboration will merge EVIQ’s cutting-edge charging solutions with Apsco’s vast network of service locations, supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions to expedite the shift towards sustainable transportation.

EVIQ and Apsco Collaborate to Support Vision 2030

“Partnering with Apsco represents a key achievement in our objective to create a seamless, accessible, and sustainable EV charging network throughout the kingdom,” stated Mohammad Bakr Gazzaz, CEO of EVIQ. “Together, we are making significant progress towards fulfilling the kingdom’s Vision 2030 aspirations for greener mobility, establishing the groundwork for the future of electric transportation in Saudi Arabia.”

Dr. Azzam Qari, CEO of Apsco, described the collaboration as “a crucial step in Apsco’s mission toward sustainable mobility.”

He remarked, “By collaborating with EVIQ, we are putting in place the necessary infrastructure for the future of electric transportation, offering our customers dependable and accessible charging solutions throughout the kingdom.”

Installation of EV Charging Stations to Commence Soon

The deployment will start with installations along busy highways, in major urban areas, and at essential service stations, aiming to enhance accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle owners nationwide.

This agreement is another stride in Saudi Arabia’s endeavor to cultivate a strong electric vehicle ecosystem, part of a broader initiative to diversify energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions in line with Vision 2030.
