Latest from Dubai’s RTA: New regulations introduced to bolster the tourist transport sector
The undertaking is part of the RTA’s comprehensive plan aimed at improving traffic efficiency and minimizing congestion throughout the emirate’s primary highways. By boosting the capacity at one of Dubai’s crucial intersections, the initiative sets out to provide more efficient, quicker, and safer journeys for drivers, as reported by the Dubai Media Office.
This upgraded section is particularly focused on traffic flowing from Abu Dhabi towards central Dubai. The enhancement aims to clear overlapping traffic maneuvers near the Umm Al Sheif junction, which has been identified as a frequent congestion point during evening rush hours. This modification is anticipated to lessen delays and bolster overall safety by decreasing traffic volume.

This corridor traverses densely populated regions and provides access to iconic sites like the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and the Dubai International Financial Centre.
The road also hosts numerous multinational corporations, banks, and leisure venues, underscoring its significance as a central hub for both economic activity and transportation. These recent enhancements illustrate the RTA’s dedication to upholding Dubai’s infrastructure to international standards while promoting growth and enhancing livability.
