S&K HR Consulting, a specialized human resources firm based in the UAE and founded by sisters Desma Rovina D’Souza and Elrona (Silba) D’Souza, has revealed the rebranding of their podcast previously known as the HR Sisters Podcast.
The podcast is hosted on various platforms including YouTube, Apple Podcast, and Spotify, and offers insightful, culturally relevant HR guidance aimed at entrepreneurs navigating the complexities of the UAE market.
Desma D’Souza, one of the co-founders, emphasizes their unique perspective: “Having grown up in the UAE and worked with multinational corporations, we understand the difficulties businesses face in managing HR effectively in this region. Our podcast serves as an extension of our mission to assist organizations in establishing robust HR practices from the foundation up.”
Differing from standard HR discussions that often center mainly on employee issues, this podcast examines HR in relation to business development, organizational structure, and legal compliance. It confronts the tangible hurdles that companies encounter during their initial 12 to 18 months, covering essential topics such as recruitment, onboarding, legal requirements, and crisis response strategies.
Elrona (Silba) D’Souza adds, “Our expertise is grounded not just in HR consulting but also in our own experiences as business owners. We understand that achieving profitability, setting up legally, and managing personnel are interconnected. All of our recommendations are practical and user-friendly, even for those lacking HR experience.
