IHG Launches Kimpton, Its Luxury Lifestyle Brand, in the UAE

Kimpton, renowned for its unique design, genuine hospitality, and immersive lifestyle experiences, has successfully expanded its footprint across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Its debut in the UAE highlights the increasing preference for boutique-style accommodations that emphasize experiential travel in the region’s luxury hotel sector.

Situated by the iconic Business Bay Canal and just moments from the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, Kimpton Dubai is set to become a lively new social center in the city. This area has already made a name for itself as an attractive hub for both business and leisure, drawing a wide range of residents and tourists.

The hotel will boast 280 rooms, featuring a combination of standard rooms and suites, along with three distinctive dining venues and seven adaptable meeting spaces, which include a grand ballroom. Focusing on wellness and leisure, guests can look forward to a rooftop pool, spa, fitness center, curated retail shops, and ample parking facilities. Staying true to Kimpton’s reputation for innovative dining, the hotel will emphasize exceptional food and beverage experiences.

This marks the second venture between IHG and API Hotels & Resorts, following the opening of InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay in September 2024. Previously, IHG entered into a management agreement with The King Abdullah Financial District Management and Development Company, linked to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, to launch the first Kimpton hotel in Riyadh.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts – India, Middle East & Africa, commented: “The Kimpton brand consistently reshapes luxury lifestyle hospitality by offering uniquely designed boutique hotels and dining establishments that celebrate individuality, top-notch design, and genuine warmth. We’re excited to bring this brand to the UAE in partnership with API, providing a new hospitality experience in Business Bay that appeals to both local individuals and international visitors.”

He added, “Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants embody the forefront of luxury lifestyle hospitality. These venues are thoughtfully crafted to foster connection and creativity, often in collaboration with local talent, including artists, musicians, chefs, and designers. We are thrilled to infuse Dubai with that same vibrant energy and spirit.”

A representative from API Hotels & Resorts stated: “Our ongoing collaboration with IHG reflects our mutual dedication to delivering exceptional global luxury experiences to the region. The launch of Kimpton in Dubai will present a distinctive option amidst the city’s hospitality offerings, merging elevated lifestyle elements with a boutique character. We believe Kimpton Dubai will establish itself as a key destination for both locals and tourists.”

Each Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant is tailored to foster meaningful human connections through special, personalized touches that enhance the guest experience. Blending a culture of sincere hospitality with unique, design-driven hotels, every Kimpton venue aims to craft authentic experiences where local communities and visitors come together fluidly.

Currently, IHG operates nine of its core brands in the Middle East, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo within the luxury and lifestyle categories; Crowne Plaza and voco in the premium segment; as well as Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express in the essentials collection, and Staybridge Suites in the suites category.
