Nakheel Grants Dhs169m Infrastructure Contract for Bay Villas on Dubai Islands

Nakheel, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has granted Al Nasr Contracting Company a contract worth Dhs169 million for the construction of internal roadways and essential utilities for the Bay Villas at Dubai Islands.

The project will involve the creation of access roads within the 636-unit residential area and the installation of vital utility services, all aimed at providing efficient connectivity among homes, communal spaces, and the wider island infrastructures. This initiative is in line with Nakheel’s approach of synchronizing preparatory tasks with infrastructure development to facilitate effective community construction and ensure positive outcomes for residents.

Khalid Al Malik, the CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, commented: “Assigning this infrastructure contract to Al Nasr is a crucial initial step for Bay Villas, guaranteeing that our waterfront community with 636 homes is constructed with a solid infrastructure from the very beginning. Al Nasr’s established proficiency in managing complex civil projects and their strong commitment to safety resonate with our aim of creating excellent residential environments. This investment in infrastructure will directly contribute to the transformation of Dubai Islands into a premier waterfront locale, fostering essential connectivity that will improve the daily experiences of residents and enhance property values over time.”

Jean Nicolas El Helou, the CEO of Al Nasr Contracting Company, remarked: “We are excited to collaborate with Nakheel, a prominent name in Dubai’s real estate sector, on the critical infrastructure projects for Bay Villas at Dubai Islands. Our team is dedicated to coordinating closely with all parties involved to ensure this new villa community meets Nakheel’s high standards, making Bay Villas one of the most desirable and dynamic areas for living and investment in Dubai.”

This new contract follows Nakheel’s earlier award of a Dhs2.6 billion contract to Fibrex Contracting for the comprehensive development of Dubai Islands. Together, these contracts signify considerable progress towards the realization of Bay Villas, which will include townhouses, semi-detached villas, garden villas, and luxurious waterfront and beachfront residences in a well-connected, resort-style environment.

Bay Villas is an integral part of the broader Dubai Islands vision, in alignment with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which focuses on thoughtfully designed communities, public areas, and convenient access to various amenities.
