NEB Selected as Consultant for the World’s First Web3 Commercial Tower by DMCC

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the leading global business hub fostering international trade, along with REIT Development, has revealed the selection of the National Engineering Bureau (NEB) as the design and supervision consultant for Crypto Tower—the world’s inaugural commercial tower dedicated to Web3 and digital assets.

Located in the bustling Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Crypto Tower aims to provide specialized commercial facilities for enterprises in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital asset sectors. The appointment of NEB is a significant advancement in the project’s progress, emphasizing DMCC’s dedication to providing top-notch infrastructure that nurtures the evolution of emerging technologies.

With over 40 years of expertise, NEB will manage all facets of the project, including architectural design, engineering, compliance approvals, and oversight during construction. The firm’s proven history in executing intricate developments across the UAE assures that Crypto Tower will adhere to the highest benchmarks of design, implementation, and sustainability.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, remarked: “The engagement of the National Engineering Bureau signifies a pivotal moment in realizing our vision for the world’s first commercial tower focused on Web3 and digital assets. The tower will serve as a physical landmark for DMCC’s expanding ecosystem consisting of over 3,400 tech companies, including more than 700 established within our Crypto Centre. It will provide top-tier, tailored office environments for the upcoming generation of digital enterprises, while also promoting the transformation of Uptown Dubai and Jumeirah Lakes Towers into two of the most vibrant business districts in Dubai, solidifying DMCC’s standing as a global center for crypto, Web3, and advanced technologies.”

Karen Kriska, Vice President of Operations for Crypto Tower, stated: “We are excited to collaborate with the National Engineering Bureau as our esteemed design and supervision consultant. NEB boasts an impressive history of designing and overseeing numerous structures in Dubai, including several iconic buildings in the JLT area. Their extensive understanding of the local regulatory landscape, combined with their expertise in architectural innovation, makes them an ideal partner to realize Crypto Tower as a landmark for the Web3 community.”

Jamil Jadallah, CEO of the National Engineering Bureau, added: “Being chosen for this groundbreaking project is a source of great pride for NEB. Crypto Tower is poised to be a pivotal element of the digital economy in the UAE, and we are dedicated to providing a service that reflects its innovation, ambition, and significance. At NEB, we have consistently believed in influencing the future of urban development—this project embodies that commitment. We eagerly anticipate utilizing our decades of experience and established presence in Dubai to create a landmark that symbolizes the UAE’s leadership in technology and smart infrastructure.”

A collaborative venture between DMCC and REIT Development, Crypto Tower is designed to be a central hub for the over 700 cryptocurrency and blockchain enterprises already operating within DMCC. It emphasizes Dubai’s role as a global frontrunner in the digital economy, fostering a cohesive ecosystem for Web3, fintech, and emerging technology companies.
