The Nemetschek Group, a prominent global software provider in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AEC/O) industry, has initiated a strategic alliance with WakeCap Technologies, a company specializing in sensor-driven real-time project control systems within the construction sector. This partnership aims to enhance digital transformation efforts across the construction industry within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The collaboration merges the extensive range of software solutions offered by Nemetschek with WakeCap’s innovative project control platform, which delivers real-time visibility into workforce management and overall site operations. WakeCap is currently engaged in projects valued at over $100 billion and has documented more than 150 million worker hours, managing the largest workforce database in the region. Their technologies have generated significant improvements, including a 90% drop in safety violations, productivity enhancements over 25%, and a 70% improvement in incident response times. Notably, these safety technologies have become mandatory for major entities such as Aramco, Neom, and Qiddiya.
As part of this agreement, both firms will explore business opportunities throughout the GCC. They plan to utilize WakeCap’s local expertise and robust industry connections to facilitate the market growth of Nemetschek Arabia. This partnership will include collaborative go-to-market strategies directed at stakeholders in construction and real estate, along with the possibility of integrating WakeCap’s innovative technologies with Nemetschek’s premier software solutions, including Bluebeam, dTwin, and GoCanvas.
This partnership will also encompass knowledge sharing and the joint creation of thought leadership materials, such as whitepapers and digital construction projects. Both organizations will co-participate in regional industry events and investigate new collaborative opportunities in the infrastructure and natural resources sectors, where the need for intelligent and data-centric project management is on the rise.
Marc Nezet, the group chief strategy officer and chief division officer of the Nemetschek Group, expressed: “WakeCap emerges as a leading innovator in the global construction technology arena. Their capability to offer real-time insights and scalable visibility is transforming the management and execution of major infrastructure initiatives. By merging the exceptional software abilities of Nemetschek with WakeCap’s pioneering technologies and localized expertise, we anticipate achieving transformative advancements for the construction sector in the GCC.”
Muayad Simbawa, managing director of Nemetschek Arabia, stated: “This partnership represents a crucial step forward in our goal to boost digital advancements in construction throughout the Gulf region. Collaborating with WakeCap, we seek to introduce more connected, intelligent, and efficient project delivery methods that are in line with the region’s developmental and sustainability agendas.”
Dr. Hassan Albalawi, CEO and founder of WakeCap, remarked: “This collaboration affirms our vision of revolutionizing construction through real-time intelligence. Our technology has the potential to radically alter the delivery of giga-projects by minimizing risks and enhancing efficiency. By integrating our proven platform with Nemetschek’s extensive global presence and software capabilities, we expand our market reach and help set the standard for intelligent project execution, starting in the GCC where some of the world’s most ambitious projects are utilizing WakeCap’s solutions.”
The partnership underscores Nemetschek Group’s ongoing commitment to fostering digital innovation within the global construction and infrastructure sectors. With a range of interoperable and sustainable solutions that cater to the entire AEC/O lifecycle, Nemetschek remains dedicated to enabling architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to work smarter and more effectively.
