Saudi Arabia Reinstates E-Visas: Essential Information for Eligible Nations

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has declared that e-visa applications will reopen as of June 10, making travel more accessible for international tourists ahead of the summer season. Eligible travelers can now submit their applications online, simplifying the trip planning process to the nation.

Furthermore, travelers who possess a valid Schengen, UK, or US visit visa, or who are residents of the EU, UK, or US, will still be able to obtain visas upon arrival at Saudi border points.

Exciting Summer Events

This announcement coincides with the unveiling of an exciting summer calendar in Saudi Arabia, which includes cultural festivals, beach holidays, mountain getaways, and major events like the Esports World Cup taking place in Riyadh. Visitors can immerse themselves in ancient heritage sites or engage in modern gaming, ensuring a diverse and captivating travel experience.

Beginning of the New Umrah Season

To accommodate an increasing number of travelers, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the launch of the new Umrah season for the Hijri year 1447, commencing on Tuesday, June 10. Pilgrim visa issuance for those arriving from foreign countries will begin on the same date, with Umrah permits available starting June 11 via the “Nusuk” app—a comprehensive digital platform for governmental services, according to reports.

The ministry highlighted that they have coordinated effectively with relevant agencies to ensure operational readiness for the season, which includes improved digital services and multilingual assistance. This platform enables users to acquire permits and access tailored services that enhance the Umrah experience.

Saudi officials reaffirmed their dedication to upholding high standards of safety, comfort, and efficiency for all visitors, as the nation positions itself as a premier destination for both leisure activities and religious pilgrimages.
