Between January and June, brokers were responsible for 42,181 real estate deals, generating total commissions exceeding Dhs3.23 billion. This represents a remarkable 99% increase from Dhs1.62 billion in commissions recorded in the same timeframe in 2024, as reported by the Dubai Land Department (DLD) in a release from the Dubai Media Office.
The increase in transactions is linked to the expanding number of professionals in the field. Currently, 29,577 real estate brokers are registered, which includes 6,714 newcomers in the first half of 2025. This rising trend indicates a growing confidence in the profession and underscores the vital role brokers play in guiding investors to promising opportunities.
Women brokers rise in prominence
Women are increasingly influencing the real estate sector. Currently, there are 10,100 women active in Dubai’s brokerage industry. In the first six months of 2025, they participated in 13,424 transactions, bringing in nearly Dhs1.43 billion in commissions.
This impressive performance illustrates the increasing impact of women in the sector, showcasing their skills in relationship building, closing significant deals, and enhancing the market’s overall dynamism.
The sector’s role extends beyond mere transactions
Real estate brokers are vital intermediaries connecting developers with buyers and investors. Their ability to promote transparency and aid in informed decision-making has never been more critical. In addition, property valuation firms are sustaining demand by providing comprehensive services.
As of the first half of 2025, Dubai had 1,223 registered brokerage firms and 78 property valuation offices employing 118 licensed valuers.
Additionally, Real Estate Registrations and Services Trustees Offices have played a significant role in enhancing market efficiency. These 2,426 offices processed 114,848 transactions in the first half of the year, catering to 86,398 clients, marking a 15% increase in customer volume compared to the equivalent period in 2024.
The flourishing brokerage and valuation sectors in Dubai exemplify the emirate’s commitment to establishing a real estate environment based on collaboration between public and private sectors. By providing essential professional services, brokers are bolstering investor confidence and solidifying Dubai’s status as a leading global real estate investment destination.
