UAE Introduces Artificial Intelligence Academy Offering Short Courses in Various Languages

The United Arab Emirates has inaugurated the Artificial Intelligence Academy, a forward-thinking initiative designed to cultivate a new cadre of AI leaders.

This academy merges cutting-edge research with practical insights from the industry, enhancing the Middle East’s role in global AI innovation.

Founded by the Polynom Group in partnership with the Abu Dhabi School of Management, the AI Academy offers a series of targeted short programs tailored for executives, senior government officials, and technical experts.

Participants will explore foundational AI concepts, national AI frameworks, tools for generative AI, and applications that empower leaders across various sectors.

The courses will be offered in multiple languages and will lay the groundwork for extensive AI skill development initiatives.

A strategic partnership agreement was signed in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, during the annual AI summit, “The Machines Can See Summit.”

In addition to the initial offerings, the Academy plans to introduce the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) Program, an innovative 3-4 month leadership development course designed to equip a new generation of AI leaders. This program will consist of eight advanced modules that deliver a solid grounding in AI strategy, governance, and application in diverse fields like finance, healthcare, and public service.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in exclusive seminars led by prominent scientists and industry experts, gaining firsthand knowledge of the latest advancements in areas such as computer vision, large language models, sovereign AI, and ethics in AI.

These discussions will nurture productive exchanges and offer strategic insights for those influencing the future trajectory of AI in the region.

The academy will also incorporate NVIDIA’s expertise and technologies into select programs, contributing to the mission of enhancing AI preparedness and its practical application throughout the region.

Alexander Khanin, the founder of the Polynom Group, underlined the group’s dedication to bridging the divide between scientific breakthroughs and the commercial utilization of AI. He stated that this collaboration with the Abu Dhabi School of Management and NVIDIA is set to provide a distinctive educational experience that promotes innovation and responsible technological leadership.

Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi School of Management, highlighted that the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Academy aims to equip regional leaders with the tools and insights necessary to tap into the transformative power of AI. This initiative signifies a continued commitment to advancing management education, positioning the UAE as a global hub for AI leadership in business.

He articulated that the partnership’s objective is to empower the upcoming generation of innovators to navigate and lead future trends in an increasingly technology-driven world.

The AI Academy will act as a catalyst for collaborative research projects, networking opportunities, and the incubation of startups.
