UAE Makes History: Introduction of the World’s First Jet-Powered Firefighting Aircraft

During the UAE Pavilion at the upcoming Expo 2025 in Japan, the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has introduced Suhail, the first-ever jet-powered firefighting drone in the world. This innovative development from the UAE marks a significant step towards smarter and safer emergency response measures.

Suhail is a significant milestone for the UAE as it is the first unmanned aerial vehicle specifically engineered for firefighting tasks. It features state-of-the-art computer vision and LiDAR-based 3D mapping technology for accurate target identification and obstacle navigation. Additionally, the drone incorporates advanced smart systems that provide vertical flight capabilities, precise maneuverability, and high performance even in difficult conditions.
