On Wednesday morning around 5 AM, users of OpenAI’s widely-used ChatGPT in India and the UAE faced significant difficulties, including challenges in accessing chat history and long loading times.
As reported by Downdetector, a service that tracks website outages, 82% of users worldwide indicated that they were experiencing an outage.
When attempting to use the platform, many encountered an “unable to load projects” notification.
OpenAI confirmed the situation on its official status page, mentioning that it was actively “investigating” the listed issues.
The organization also announced that it was “working on implementing a mitigation” to resolve the concerns.
By 7 AM local time, services were restored.
This wasn’t the first time the chatbot ran into problems, as it had previously experienced an outage on June 10.
