Wildberries E-commerce Platform Enters the UAE Market

Wildberries has officially launched its operations in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant milestone as its tenth market entry. This expansion allows local businesses to engage in cross-border trade through the company’s e-commerce platform.

As a leading e-commerce platform in Eurasia, Wildberries has entered the UAE, adding to its existing operational markets, which include Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and collaborations with sellers from China.

This entry into the UAE will enable local businesses to become part of a vast network of over one million registered sellers, with 85% being small to medium-sized enterprises. Presently, Wildberries showcases more than 8 million products on its platform and aims to enhance its offerings in the UAE, particularly in popular categories like smartphones and consumer electronics.

To facilitate international transactions, Wildberries has rolled out an automated customs duty calculator, ensuring transparency by displaying import fees alongside product prices. Deliveries from the UAE to various international markets are expected to commence within six days, subject to product availability and customs clearance.

Additionally, Wildberries has made its merchant analytics tool, Jam, more accessible in Kazakhstan. This subscription-based service offers insights into sales, audience demographics, product trends, and seasonal analytics. Utilizing AI technology, Jam is capable of automatically generating product descriptions and images, including virtual models for fashion items.

Founded in 2004 in Russia, Wildberries now caters to over 79 million customers and manages more than 20 million orders daily. Its logistics infrastructure consists of 130 distribution centers and 70,000 pickup points across all its operating regions.

The expansion into the UAE represents a strategic opportunity for Wildberries to penetrate the Gulf region, providing local sellers with direct access to its extensive Eurasian customer base.
