The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that over 260 Chinese companies will participate in a large pavilion covering more than 2,800 square meters at the 27th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). This event, organized by DEWA, will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 30 to October 2, 2025. This marks the largest Chinese representation in the history of the exhibition.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the CEO and Managing Director of DEWA and the founder of WETEX, warmly welcomed the extensive participation of Chinese firms.
He remarked, “The United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China have established robust strategic relations built on fruitful collaboration in the fields of economy, investment, energy, and technology.”
In 2024, the trade volume between the UAE and China reached $102 billion, reflecting a 7% increase compared to 2023. DEWA has formed strategic partnerships with leading Chinese companies in the clean energy sector.
David Wang, Chairman of the MIE Group which organizes the Chinese pavilion at WETEX, stated, “For Chinese companies, WETEX serves not just as a trade fair, but as a strategic gateway into the Middle East and North Africa market.”
The exhibition facilitates connections between exhibitors and suitable partners, exploring new opportunities and supporting the UAE’s ambitious vision for a sustainable future.
