The Traffic and Patrols Department of the Ras Al Khaimah Police has launched an extensive campaign that led to the seizure of 491 unregistered bikes.
The confiscated vehicles included motorcycles, bicycles, and electric scooters over the period from April 22 to the 1st of this month.
This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts of the Ras Al Khaimah Police under the direct guidance of Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, the Chief of Police, aimed at enhancing road safety.
The campaign’s objective was to facilitate safe transportation and reduce traffic accidents and fatalities resulting from unregulated bike usage, particularly as these vehicles can pose significant risks to their riders and other road users.
The Traffic and Patrols Department emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws and urged parents to collaborate with police efforts by preventing their children from riding bikes in unauthorized areas.
This warning stems from the potential dangers such behaviors pose to their safety, representing a direct threat to their lives, in addition to causing disturbances to others and confusing drivers, potentially leading to severe traffic accidents.
