A passenger aircraft traveling from Novosibirsk to Sochi had to return shortly after takeoff due to reports of cabin pressure loss, as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
The flight was operated by S7 Airlines and was identified as a Boeing 737, according to the Telegram channel “Shot,” which has connections to Russian security services.
In a tragic incident the previous day, another Russian passenger plane crashed in the Amur region of far eastern Russia, resulting in the deaths of all 48 individuals onboard.
According to a statement from emergency services, the aircraft, operated by the Angara airline, was carrying 43 passengers, including five children, along with six crew members. The plane crashed approximately 15 kilometers from the town of Tynda, with its wreckage located in a dense forest area known as “Northern Forests.”
The official statement confirmed that rescue teams promptly responded to the crash site despite the challenging terrain and inclement weather, but all individuals on the flight were sadly pronounced dead.
